What we collect
Your account and profile
- Your name and profile photo
- Contact details you choose to add to your profile, such as email, phone number, and social media handles
- Your Apple ID, used only to sign you in with Sign in with Apple
- Your device's push notification token, so we can send you notifications
What you share in the app
- Messages, photos, events, polls, comments, and RSVPs you create in your groups
- Private messages you send or receive (see "Private messages" below)
Event Hub
- Your ZIP code, if you use the Event Hub, so we can show public events in your area
- Which Event Hub events you open, which hosts you hide, and any events you report
App reliability
- Crash and error reports, so we can find and fix problems
How we use it
- To provide the Sirkl app and its features
- To show your profile to members of the groups you share
- To send notifications about activity in your groups and your private messages
- To show you Event Hub events near you. We don't use your ZIP code to track your location.
- To give businesses that post Event Hub events totals only, such as how many members viewed their event, how many groups added it, and how many people RSVP'd. Businesses never see your name or who you are.
- To review reports and keep Sirkl safe
Private messages
Private messages can only be exchanged between members who share a group. We store the messages, who sent and received them, and when, so they can be delivered and shown to you. If you report a message, we save a copy so our moderation team can review it. You can turn off private messages anytime in Edit Profile, and you can mute or block any member.
Businesses that post on the Event Hub
If you post events on the Event Hub at hub.sirkl.app, we collect the business or host name, logo, contact email, website, and the event details you submit. We use them to review and publish your events. Published events, along with your host name and logo, are visible to Sirkl members in your area.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not show ads.
- We do not share your information with third parties except the service providers we use to run Sirkl: Supabase (database and storage), Expo (push notifications), RevenueCat (payments), Sentry (crash reporting), Resend (sign-in emails), and Vercel (hosting for hub.sirkl.app).
Data storage
Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers located in the United States.
Account deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data from within the app, or by contacting us at the address below.
